Old Time Dance is a delightful step back in time, where elegance, charm, and tradition come together on the dance floor. Whether training for that upcoming wedding or ball, or simply wishing to be part of the social dance environment, Old Time Dance is an inclusive, friendly and fun class sure to become a highlight of the week.

Inclusive of all ages and abilities, this session is a chance for dancers to come together each week and share the joy of classic dance styles such as the Canadian 3 Step, Pride of Erin, Gypsy Tap, Barn Dance, Veleta Waltz and many more.

How do I register ?

To register in advance of the class, click on the ‘sign up’ tab on our website menu. Registration can also be completed in person at the beginning of class. It is okay to show up to this class without prior notice. Bring your friends and enjoy the session!

How do I pay?

Payment can be made via our website, see the ‘sign up’ tab to pay for classes online. Payment can also be made at the beginning of class using cash or card.

Do I have to pay for a whole term?

For this class, is fine to come to a single class and paying for classes weekly is allowed. Paying by term allows the advantage of a discount however, weekly payment is accepted for this class.

If I pull out of classes, can I get my money back?

Fee refunds are not available, however should you decide to pull out, transferring your credit to a friend or family member to take your place is a good way to make use of your credit should you be unable to complete the term.

What do I wear to class?

Sensible footwear is recommended for this class (thongs, crocs, sandals won’t work well).
Slippery sole shoes always work best. Although sneakers can be comfortable, they can grip the floor too much. Smooth sole shoes are recommended.

Casual clothes and smart casual are recommended for the class. Dancing is a workout and you are bound to get your steps up, so dress comfortably. Some dances enjoy dressing up a little as this is a social dance class and an enjoyable weekly event. Dancers are most welcome to dress up.

What ages can join?

Our class is ideal of all ages. The beauty of old time dance is that it is age inclusive. From ages 6 to 60 and over, our classes include members of all ages. Part of the beauty of our classes is that friendships formed cross generations and age is just a number!

Am I good enough to join?

Every class is designed so that very beginners can come for the first time and join right in. While it may take a few weeks to remember the steps as confidentially as those who attend regularly, all dances are taught from scratch and no member is left behind!
